aQuaintance, a new company formed by shareholders A.Hak Leidingbouw, Tebodin and Cofely, has been granted a contract with a five year duration based on a tender. This contract comprises of the engineering, procurement and execution tasks for all domestic onshore projects for NAM. The three shareholders already carried out these tasks in the years before with another company form, the LOP VoF, roughly translated as the Domestic Onshore Project partnership. In this new entity, the partners expect to be able to provide for a new and high-quality impulse to developments. Within this partnership, A.Hak Leidingbouw, part of Pipelines & Facilities, primarily focuses on the construction of all underground pipelines.

Added value renewed cooperation
aQuaintance was granted the contract based on multiple reasons: Trust was gained from LOP results while the offer provided for the highest quality standards of the 27 offers received. Orders are not cut into three segments, as all expertise is joined in the design and preparation phase to find the best solution for the entire project.

Important values
The aQuaintance business model manages to better address values that are important for NAM, being safety, cost control and quality. The closer cooperation ensures that the other shareholders benefit if one partner attains a better score on these values. And although the same goes the other way around, the three shareholders have enough mutual trust to share this responsibility.

Norgron
The construction of a 30 kilometer 48" steel gas transport pipeline from the Groningen gas fields to the underground gas storage facility Norg (the Norgron-pipeline) was a project carried out within the aQuaintance contract.
